JUMP AHEAD

With the holidays just around the corner, the Phonic team has been working extremely hard to ship our most-requested features before the end of the year. Today we do just that with a massive update across the entire Phonic ecosystem!

Survey Logic & Conditions

survey conditions builder

A staple feature of any survey platform, survey logic and conditions (sometimes called "survey variables") allow branching between different questions. We've added these capabilities to Phonic, revamping our skip logic and adding conditions. Survey conditions can either be set based on the answer to a previous question, or consumed as query parameters.

New Question Types

audio slider question type

Our new question types include Dropdown, Slider and Audio + Slider. These build further expand our data collection capabilities and allow researchers to build even more flexible, expressive surveys.

Audio Playback

audio playback in a survey

Respondents may now play their audio back before submitting a survey response.

Interactive Transcriptions

Transcriptions are now interactive. Simply click on a word and voila! You'll skip to that point in the recording. Words are also highlighted as they are spoken in the playing clip.

Bookmarking

Individual respondents can be bookmarked and flagged for later reference with the bookmark button in respondent view.

Other Updates

  • Welcome screen can be optionally skipped for the first question
  • Individual responses or entire surveys can be made public and shared
  • UX Improvements across the dashboard and response views
  • Query parameters are split into new columns in export
  • Embedded widget now integrated with SPSS
